LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Authorities say a 48-year-old Las Vegas woman died when the van she was riding in lost control and flipped late Sunday night on an onramp heading west on Interstate 215.

Nevada Highway Patrol troopers said the van had been carrying 10 people on their way home from a trip to California when the crash occurred shortly after 9 p.m. Sunday where Interstates 215 and 15 meet near Las Vegas. Troopers say the van's driver was driving too fast during the rainy conditions and lost control of the vehicle.

Authorities say Sheila Williams had been sitting in the second row behind the driver and wearing her seatbelt. She died at the scene.

Trooper Chelsea Stuenkel says the other passengers including the driver were taken to UMC hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

LAS VEGAS -- A large task force made up of local and federal agencies busted three houses in connection to a large illegal marijuana operation.

The task force, which included the DEA, ICE, the Department of Homeland Security, Metro Police and Henderson Police, arrested two suspects at the first house, located at 9660 Grouse Grove Avenue near W. Sunset Road and S. Grand Canyon Drive.

37-year-old Zhiwen Lin and 63-year-old Jiango Han were found trying to flee the area on foot and by car as authorities arrived to the scene.

Officers say it is estimated that there were more than 550 plants inside of the 4,000 square feet home. Nearly every room of the five bedroom rental home was converted to grow marijuana.

The house also contained cash and over 5 pounds of ready-to-sell marijuana.

LAS VEGAS -- If you're planning to go to the DMV anytime soon, expect a long wait for your service.

According to Nevada DMV's website, the typical waiting time for most locations in southern Nevada is around three hours.

In some cases, the frustration has turned to violence. 

On Saturday, a man tried to enter the DMV office on Sahara Avenue and broke the glass front door after he realized the door was locked because the office was officially closed.
