Dealership Sees Sales Improving, Moves to New Location

Dealership Sees Sales Improving, Moves to New Location

The recession caused businesses around southern Nevada, especially car dealerships, to close down. But the industry is making a comeback.

A local car dealership is upgrading to a new facility that owners hope will boost business and bring back jobs.

Gaudin Ford is moving from its location on East Sahara Avenue to a space at Rainbow Boulevard and the southern Beltway. The building is the former home of Integrity Chrysler Plymouth Dodge. That dealership closed in 2007.

"With the markets the way they’ve changed, and the city itself has changed and the whole economy has changed we just need to step up and go with it," said manager Kersh Miller.

Miller should know about change. The 82 year old has worked with Gaudin Ford for more than 50 years. In the last four years the dealership has let go more than a hundred employees, reduced inventory and cut business costs to stay in business.
