Photo Gallery | Animals visit school to thank students for donation

A capuchin monkey, coatimundi, carcal, kangaroo joey, leumur and sloth showed up at a southern Nevada school Thursday morning.

The animals were at Merryhill Elementary and Preschool to thank the students for their donations to their zoo. The students collected money and supplies for Roos 'n' More zoo. It was part of a curriculum project the focuses on the relationship between animals and humans.

The animals were from Roos 'n' More zoo, which closed down earlier this year because of Clark County code violations.

The zoo is working to reopen permanently. To find out more about donating to the zoo, go to roosnmore.org.
