Woman killed in fatal crash at Rainbow, Hacienda ID'd | News
LAS VEGAS -- The woman killed in a Monday afternoon crash has been identified as Mary Cantrell, 73, of Las Vegas.
The 2:30 p.m. crash at the intersection of Rainbow Boulevard and Hacienda Avenue caused major traffic delays due to road closures that lasted about five hours.
Officers said a Mercury Grand Marquis, driven by a 68-year-old man, was traveling southbound on Rainbow Boulevard and turned left at the intersection of Hacienda Avenue colliding with an Audi S5 traveling northbound through the intersection.
Cantrell was a passenger in the Mercury. She was taken to University Medical Center where she died.
The drivers of both cars were also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
This is the 40th traffic related fatality in LVMPD's jurisdiction for 2015.
