Coroner IDs woman killed in apartment fire in SW Las Vegas

 LAS VEGAS -- The woman found dead Monday morning inside of an apartment that was on fire has been identified as 42-year-old Marrie Stewart, according to the Clark County Coroner's office.

The fire was called in around 6:30 a.m. and it involved an apartment unit located at 10175 Spring Mountain Road near Hualapai Way. The flames were contained to the one apartment.

A man was, who hasn't been identified by police was treated for cuts and burns after firefighters responded to the blaze in the southwest part of the valley.

Police say a domestic dispute may have occurred in the apartment prior to the fire. A stepdaughter, also inside the apartment, escaped unharmed.

Homicide detectives were called to the scene to investigate whether or not foul play was involved in Stewart's death. The cause of death of Stewart has yet to be determined by the Clark County coroner.
