Inmate Walks Away from Corrections Facility

Inmate Terrel Tiffith (pictured) walked away from the Casa Grande Transitional Housing Facility on Tuesday. Tiffith is a 26-year-old black man, 5-foot-9 and approximately 160 pounds, black hair and brown eyes. Tiffith was serving a 24-60 month sentence for conspiracy/violent crime. He was received from Clark County.

Anyone with information regarding Tiffith should contact the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department at 229-3111.

Las Vegas Man Faces Charges in his Brother's Death

LAS VEGAS -- One brother is under arrest for murder and the other is dead following a dispute between the two men.

Police say 34-year-old Thomas Enright is charged with murder in the death of his brother, 25-year-old Brian Enright. The shooting happened on Sunday at the home where the two men lived in southwest Las Vegas.

According to police, the two men got into a verbal argument that turned physical in which Brian Enright was shot.

Metro Police Investigate Fatal Shooting Involving 2 Brothers

LAS VEGAS -- Metro is investigating a deadly shooting in southwest Las Vegas. According to police, a man was shot and killed after an argument with his brother around 12:40 p.m. Sunday near Jones Blvd. and Pyle Ave.

Investigators say the brothers were watching television when they started verbally fighting. Police say the fight became physical with one brother grabbing a gun while the other taunted him.

According to police, the brother in custody claimed the gun dropped to the floor and shot the other in the abdomen. The brother who was shot was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.  

Homicide detectives were called to the scene to investigate the circumstances surrounding this shooting. As of now the brother has not yet been charged.

Las Vegas Man Arrested for California Woman's Murder

LAS VEGAS -- A Las Vegas man has been arrested in Jackson, Mississippi for the murder of a California woman.

The body of Michele Carson of West Covina, California was discovered in a desert area south of Las Vegas Blvd. and St. Rose Pkwy. in Nov. 2010.

Police took 27-year-old Justin "Spiderman" Burns of Las Vegas into custody Thursday morning. According to the arrest report, Burns and Carson had been in a relationship in the past. Carson had come to Las Vegas to visit Burns.

Burns played high school basketball at Bishop Gorman. He later played at Cal State Fullerton.

Former Wisconsin Sheriff Candidate Arrested in Vegas Sex Sting

LAS VEGAS -- A former Wisconsin sheriff candidate was arrested in early February during a Las Vegas police sex sting.

According to the police report, Jeffrey Gerrietts was arrested at the Orleans Hotel during an undercover investigation of the hotel's spa area. Police say they had several complaints of patrons performing sexual acts in the spa.

The report says an officer entered the steam room and saw a man, later identified as Gerrietts, engaged in a lewd act. The officer then solicited Gerrietts for sex. Gerrietts allegedly agreed and was placed under arrest.

Gerrietts ran an unsuccessful campaign for the Racine County, WI sheriff in 2010. According to the Racine Journal Times, he has resigned his position at the Mount Pleasant Police Department.

'Pacman' Gets Probation for Role in Vegas Melee

LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Cincinnati Bengals corner Adam "Pacman" Jones has been sentenced to probation and 200 hours of community service under a plea deal for his role in a 2007 strip club melee in Las Vegas.

Clark County courts spokeswoman Mary Ann Price said Jones received a suspended sentence on Thursday and was also ordered to receive anger management counseling. The sentence requires Jones to undergo random drug testing.

Jones told the Las Vegas Sun after the sentencing that he's glad to finally have the case behind him.

Prosecutors say the shooting left a club employee paralyzed and two others wounded.

Jones pleaded no contest in 2007 to a gross misdemeanor of conspiracy to commit disorderly conduct. His deal reduced two felony coercion charges. Jones has denied having a role in the shooting.

Arizona Man Faces Charges After Vegas Road Melee

LAS VEGAS  -- An Arizona man who opened fire at police and passing motorists on a bustling Las Vegas highway last week allegedly beat his pregnant girlfriend before shooting at her with a shotgun.

A criminal complaint released Tuesday states 29-year-old Jose Castro will face charges of absentia on attempted murder with a deadly weapon, assault with a deadly weapon and discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle.

Police say Castro and his girlfriend, Beatriz Calleros, were driving with two of Castro's cousins on Interstate 15 when Castro became violent.

Calleros told police she was two months pregnant with Castro's child when he kicked her in the stomach. He then pulled out his shotgun.

Castro, of the Phoenix suburb of Chandler, was shot by a police officer during the Thursday afternoon melee.
