Police Search for Man in 2 Armed Robberies

Metro Police are looking for a man who robbed two businesses in two different parts of the Las Vegas valley.

The first robbery happened February 18 at a business on the 6900 block of West Tropicana Avenue, which is near Tropicana and Rainbow Boulevard. According to police, the man walked into the business, showed the employee a hand gun and demanded cash.

The man did the same thing at a business near Flamingo Road and Spencer Street on February 23.

The man is described as a black man between 20 and 24 years old. He is between 5-foot-4 and 5-foot-6 and 125 and 135 pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes and a goatee.

At the time of the robberies, he was wearing a black baseball cap, white coat with black designs, dark jeans and dark shoes. During the February 23 incident, he was wearing a gray hoodie with a white design under the white coat.

Metro Police are looking for a man who robbed a convenience store near Russell Road and Arville Street.

According to police, the man walked into the store at about 12:30 a.m. January 27. He took an item from the shelf, walked to the counter, pointed a silver handgun at the clerk and demanded money.

The clerk gave him money, and he left.

The man is described as a white man between 30 and 40 years old. He is 6-foot-2 and between 200 and 225 pounds. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing black overhauls and a black knitted cap.

Police believe the same man is responsible for other robberies in the southwest part of the Las Vegas valley. In previous robberies he was seen wearing a camouflage jacket.

Metro Police is looking for three people who robbed a business near Flamingo and Buffalo roads.

According to police, the three people walked into the business Saturday and started grabbing items off the shelves. After grabbing several items, they tried to leave the building but were stopped by an employee. The suspects forced their way out of the building and left.

Police are now looking for a white man between 22 and 28 years old with black hair. He is 6-foot and 6-foot-4 and 175 to 190 pounds. He was wearing sunglasses, black jacket, gray, collared shirt with a black shirt underneath, black pants, black shoes with white soles and white laces. He may have a hip-related disability that results in an uneven gait.

Metro Police are looking for two men in connection with an attempted check fraud at a bank inside a grocery store Wednesday. They are also looking for two men in connection with a take-over style robbery of the same bank on the same day.

According to police, at 5:17 p.m. Wednesday, two men tried to cash fraudulent checks using fictitious identification at the bank inside a store in the 10000 block of West Flamingo. The tellers would not cash the checks, and the men left without getting any money.

About 45 minutes later, two men came to the bank while the employees were closing the branch, jumped over the counter, grabbed an employee and forced the worker to give them money.

After getting the money, the men left in a silver, four-door sedan.

Metro Police are searching for a man who tried to rob a bank near Fort Apache Road and Tropicana Avenue.

According to police, the man stood in line just after 11 a.m. November 13. When the teller was free, he approached window and gave the teller a note demanding money. The note read that he would start shooting.

The teller walked away from the window, and the would-be robber decided to leave without getting any money.

The man is described as a black man in his late 40s or early 50s. He is 5-foot-10 and 170 pounds. At the time of the crime, he was wearing glasses with silver frames, a blue baseball cap, a maroon, long-sleeve shirt, khaki pants and dark shoes.

Police Search for Woman Who Tried to Rob Bank

Metro Police are looking for a woman who tried to rob a bank in the southwest part of the Las Vegas valley.

According to police, the woman walked into a bank near Rainbow Boulevard and Warm Springs Road just before 11:30 a.m. Wednesday. The woman gave a note to the teller demanding money, police said. The teller activated the robbery alarm, and the woman left the bank without any money.

The would-be robber is described as an African-American woman in her 40s. She is between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-7 with a medium build. She has shoulder length black hair. At the time of the robbery, she was wearing glasses, a blue shirt and blue jean shorts.
