School Wins Concert for Efforts to Stop Bullying

A popular band played a live concert at Southwest Career and Technical Academy Monday after the school won a radio contest.

The academy won the KLUC “Flip the Script School Takeover Contest”. The school won the contest because it had the most students sign a pledge to stop bullying. The band Hot Chelle Rae played an exclusive concert at the school.

Flip The Script is a program designed to bring awareness to bullying and the devastating effect it can have on young people. It is part of an effort around the state to bring an anti-bullying message to students of all ages.

The band that performed Monday won the American Music Award for Favorite New Artist.
