NOVA science series presents Japan’s Killer Quake March 30 on Vegas PBS

NOVA science series presents Japan’s Killer Quake, an original one-hour documentary at 9 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30 on Vegas PBS. The program takes viewers moment by moment through Japan’s devastating earthquake and tsunami. The program gives scientific context to the chain of events responsible for one of the most destructive disasters in recorded history with first-person accounts from those who survived, and from experts and scientists currently on the scene.

Japan’s March 11 earthquake was the world’s fourth largest earthquake since record keeping began in 1900. The tsunami rushed Japan’s coast with 30-foot waves and traveled six miles inland, wiping out entire towns in minutes.
