School District Responds to Air Conditioning Outages

LAS VEGAS - The heat is causing problems for students across the Clark County School District. Air conditioning failed in some schools and, in one case, students were forced to go to another school to keep cool.

"From my point, the parents that I've spoken to have just been fantastic," said Diskin Principal Elizabeth Smith. "They're understanding. You know they're frustrated, because we don't have AC, and we've had to move, but otherwise they've been very helpful and understanding and understand the situation."

Diskin wasn't the only school without air conditioning. Reedom Elementary also experienced problems, but classroom temperatures weren't high enough to affect the kids.
